Good, basic buttercream fosting.
  • 1 lb powdered sugar (4-1/2 cups)
  • 6 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • dash salt
  1. Beat all ingredients until very smooth.
  2. If too stiff, add more milk. If too runny, add more powdered sugar.
You can vary the flavor. Good with a little almond extract with the vanilla.
