Recipe type: dessert
Good, basic buttercream fosting.
- 1 lb powdered sugar (4-1/2 cups)
- 6 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- dash salt
- Beat all ingredients until very smooth.
- If too stiff, add more milk. If too runny, add more powdered sugar.
You can vary the flavor. Good with a little almond extract with the vanilla.
